One side of this mirror is polished and the other side shows the solar symbol. This type of mirror with a loop on the side was typical for the Sarmatian. They often had symbols (usually solar) on one side of the mirror.
In general, such mirrors were common among nomads of the steppes of southern Ukraine, since the time of the Scythians, and especially in the Polovtsian period (10-13 centuries AD).
